I have represented hundreds of divorce clients. Some of these cases were traditional litigated divorces, a highly adversarial process with numerous motions and hearings in the court room to represent my client’s interests.
Yet many of my cases were resolved faster out-of-court, and with much greater satisfaction for my clients, by using Mediation, Collaborative Divorce and other ways to arrive at negotiated settlements.
Collaborative Divorce is the application of well-defined “Collaborative Law” processes to divorce cases. It enables the conflicts during and after divorce to be negotiated and settled out of court .
Divorce Mediation is a process that uses a professionally trained, neutral family mediator, working closely with the divorcing couple, to arrive at a negotiated settlement covering all terms for the couple’s divorce, out of court. The use of divorce mediation is often needed in many uncontested divorces to help resolve property ownership and/or parenting plan issues.
