I love the La Verne area and the people that live here. It’s such a hidden gem – a quiet, beautiful city! It has both charming older homes and modern new ones. It is a wonderful family community. My agency has been in La Verne since 2013.

My journey to becoming an Allstate agency owner was interesting. I was in the financial industry when Allstate developed the Neighborhood Office Agent program, which allowed the agency owners to choose their location. My husband, Tim, had already been an agent for eight years. We decided it would be a great opportunity to work together, so I joined him in 1987. My father, Bob Barge, worked for an Allstate agency for 30 years, beginning in 1952, and retired as a Regional Vice President. So far, 10 family members have worked or are working for Allstate Insurance. We are very proud to represent the company.

Tim is also an Allstate agency owner in Glendora. We have three children, Timothy, Jr. “T.J.”, Corie, and Casey, all of whom work in either my agency or Tim’s. We also have seven grandchildren – six girls and one boy. When you hear people say there’s nothing like being a grandparent, it’s true. We absolutely love it! We also have six dogs, which was not planned, but we couldn’t turn them down. They are all rescues and each one has a wonderful personality and brings us great joy!
